Dominance refers to the exercise of control and power over another person, usually in a sexual or romantic relationship. The dominant partner may give orders, direct the actions of the submissive partner and set rules to exercise this control. Dominance can also involve physical control, such as tying, whipping or otherwise influencing the submissive partner.
